A Website and Marketing Audit That Shows What to Fix First
A website and marketing audit checks how easily local customers can find you, trust you and contact you, then ranks the fixes by impact. It should cover your Google Business Profile, listings, website speed and mobile use, enquiry tracking, reviews and competitors, and end with a plain-English plan, not a pile of jargon.

Who an audit is for
An audit suits established local businesses that already spend on marketing, a website or SEO and are not sure it is paying off. Typical signs are visitors without enquiries, a competitor who always appears above you, reports you cannot read, or an agency that cannot say what it fixed last month.
What a good audit checks
Visibility
Can customers find you? We check your Google Business Profile, your listings across directories, and the searches your website appears for. Inconsistent details and incomplete profiles are common causes of lost visibility.
Website
We look at how the site works on a phone, how fast it loads, whether the next step is obvious and whether key pages answer the questions customers ask. Several of these checks follow our guide to why a website gets visitors but no enquiries.
Tracking
We check whether form submissions, phone taps and other enquiries are recorded in Google Analytics 4, so you can see what marketing actually produces. Without tracking, every other number is a guess.
Trust
We review your reviews: how many, how recent, how you reply and whether your review practices follow the rules. We also check the signs of trust on your website.
Competitors
We compare you with the rivals customers actually choose between. See local competitor analysis for how that works.

What you receive
Your audit includes:
- A review of your Google Business Profile, listings, reviews, website and enquiry tracking.
- A comparison with up to three local competitors.
- A written report with your Clariti Confidence Score and a ranked list of fixes.
- A walk-through call where you can ask questions.
Every audit should end with three things: a score or rating so you can see where you stand, a ranked list of fixes with the likely impact of each, and a plain-English walk-through you can ask questions about. Our scoring approach is described on the page about the Clariti Confidence Score. The score covers five areas, each rated from 0 to 100, and the areas are ranked by how much enquiry value is likely to be leaking.
How it works
- You tell us what matters: the services you sell, the area you cover and what a good enquiry is worth.
- We review the public data and, with your permission, read-only data from your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Google Analytics.
- We score and rank the findings by effort and likely impact.
- We walk you through the results and answer questions.
- You decide what to do next. You can act on the list yourself, with another supplier or with us.

Cost and timing
Our audit costs £395 and takes five working days from the day we have access to your accounts. For context, UK sources quote one-off local SEO audits at about £250 to £800 (see our guide on what a local SEO audit costs in the UK). Ongoing work is priced separately and is never required.
Red flags in any audit offer
- A report produced entirely by software with no person reading it.
- A guarantee of rankings or traffic.
- A long list of problems with no ranking by importance.
- Pressure to sign a long contract before you have seen the findings.
- No explanation of how you can tell afterwards that the fixes worked. Our guide on whether your SEO is working lists what to measure.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website and marketing audit include?
A good audit reviews your Google Business Profile, listings, website speed and mobile use, enquiry tracking, reviews and competitors, then ranks the fixes. It should end with a plain-English summary and a prioritised list.
How long does an audit take?
Ours takes five working days from the day we have access to your accounts. Time depends on how many accounts we can review and how quickly you share access.
Do you need access to my accounts?
Read-only access to Google Business Profile, Search Console and Google Analytics gives the most accurate picture. We can review public information without it, but the findings are less complete.
Is the audit enough, or do I need ongoing work?
The audit stands alone. You can act on it yourself or with any supplier. Ongoing work is optional.
Will you try to sell me something afterwards?
We will explain what we found and what we would do first. Whether you act on it, and with whom, is your decision.
Can you guarantee better results?
No. An audit finds what holds results back and ranks the fixes. Results depend on your market, your competitors and what you change.
