How the Clariti Confidence Score Works
The Clariti Confidence Score rates a local business across five dimensions and shows, in one view, where marketing works and where enquiries leak. Each dimension is scored from your Google Business Profile, your public reviews, your website and a comparison with local competitors, then ranked by impact so you know what to fix first. It is a diagnostic, not a guarantee of results.

What the score is for
Most owners know they spend on marketing and few can say what it returns. The Confidence Score gives you one clear view of where you stand today, a way to compare month to month, and a ranked list of what to fix first. It is Clariti’s own measure. It is not a Google metric, and Google does not use it.
The five dimensions
| Dimension | What it measures | Typical evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Findability | Whether you appear for the searches customers use, including the map pack | Profile status, categories, how recently the profile was updated and where you appear for your main searches |
| First impression | Whether customers choose you once they see you | Profile completeness, photos, rating and how your listing compares with nearby rivals |
| Credibility | Whether your reputation earns trust | Review count, average rating and replies to reviewers, compared with a benchmark for your sector |
| Engagement | Whether you stay visible between customer visits | Recent profile updates, posts, photos and new reviews |
| Competitive gap | How much business rivals are taking | The strength of competing profiles, reviews and pages for the same searches |
How scoring works
Each dimension is scored from 0 to 100 using the same checks every time, compared with a benchmark for your type of business, and then ranked by how much it is holding back enquiries. Scores run on a scale of 0 to 100, and the bands mean 65 and above is strong, 50 to 64 shows clear gaps, and below 50 means a fuller review is needed.
How to read your score
- Start with the lowest dimension. The weakest area usually limits the whole result.
- Compare with your own earlier score, not with another business. Trades and areas differ.
- Read the ranked fixes, not just the number. The number says where you stand; the list says what to do.

What you receive
Your report shows:
- Your overall score and the score for each of the five areas.
- The areas ranked by how much they are holding back enquiries.
- A list of fixes ranked by likely impact.
- A plain-English walk-through, with time for your questions.
The score is produced as part of our website and marketing audit, which explains the process, access and cost. We work from public information and, where you can share it, read-only access to your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Google Analytics. We do not need your passwords.
How often it is repeated
We repeat the score every three months on the same basis. Repeating the score on the same basis is what lets you see progress. Our guide on whether your SEO is working explains what else to track alongside it.
What a score cannot tell you
- Whether your business is profitable. It rates marketing, not margins.
- The quality of your service. Reviews hint at it, but the score does not measure it.
- What will happen next. It is a diagnostic of today, not a forecast.
- Why a single number moved in one month. Seasonality, competitors and Google changes all play a part.
If the score points to a weak website, our guide on why a website gets visitors but no enquiries shows the first checks.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Clariti Confidence Score?
Clariti’s own five-dimension diagnostic that rates a local business’s marketing and shows where enquiries leak. It is not a Google metric.
How is it different from an SEO score in a free tool?
Free tool scores usually rate technical checks on a website. The Confidence Score covers more than the website and ranks the findings by impact. Each dimension is scored from 0 to 100 using the same checks every time, compared with a benchmark for your type of business, and then ranked by how much it is holding back enquiries.
Does a high score guarantee more enquiries?
No. A high score means fewer known gaps today. Enquiries still depend on your market, your competitors and your service.
Can I improve my score myself?
Yes. The ranked list of fixes is designed so you can act on it yourself, with another supplier or with us.
How often should my score be repeated?
We repeat the score every three months on the same basis.
What do you need from me to produce a score?
We work from public information and, where you can share it, read-only access to your Google Business Profile, Search Console and Google Analytics. We do not need your passwords.
