NAP Consistency Checker: Compare Your Listings in Minutes
Paste the name, address and phone number from each of your listings next to your master details and this checker shows which ones match, which differ only in formatting, and which are wrong. It runs in your browser, does not fetch any website, and does not store what you enter.

How to use the checker
- Enter your master name, address and phone, exactly as you want them to appear everywhere. If you are unsure what to use, read what NAP is.
- Open each of your listings, such as those in our guide to the best UK business directories, and copy what each shows.
- Paste each listing’s details into a row.
- Read the results and fix each Different field at the listing.
- Run the check again after your changes.
Run the check
This tool runs in your browser. We do not receive, store or send what you enter, and it does not look at any website for you.
Want a second pair of eyes? Clariti Digital can review your setup and show you what to fix first.
What the results mean
- Match: the details are identical.
- Formatting only: the details are the same once spaces, punctuation and common abbreviations are tidied, such as Rd and Road. It is worth making them identical, but it is a minor difference.
- Different: the wording is not the same, for example an old address or phone number. Fix these first.

What the checker cannot do
- It does not find listings you do not know about. Search your name, phone number and old addresses to find them.
- It does not tell you which directories matter. See the best UK business directories.
- It does not log in or change anything. You make the changes at each listing.
After the check
Fix the Different fields first, then the formatting differences. If you do pay for a service to do this, read are paid business directories worth it before you sign.

Frequently asked questions

Is my information stored or sent anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us or stored.
Which abbreviations does it treat as the same?
Common ones such as Rd and Road, St and Street, and Ltd and Limited. Other differences are shown as Different.
How many listings can I check?
Up to ten at a time. Run it again for more.
What should I do if every listing differs?
Check your master details first. Then fix the listings in order of importance, starting with your Google Business Profile.
