AI Visibility Check: Does AI Name Your Business?
This check helps you find out whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google name your business when customers ask for a local recommendation. Enter your business details, copy the generated questions into each tool, tick what you see and get a simple tally you can repeat every month. It does not query any AI tool for you.

How the check works
- Enter your business name, town and main services.
- Copy each generated question into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google.
- For each answer, tick whether your business was not named, named, or named with a link.
- Read your tally and download it.
- Repeat next month with the same questions.
Run the check
This tool runs in your browser. We do not receive, store or send what you enter.

How to read your results
- Look at the pattern, not one answer. AI tools can answer differently each time you ask.
- Compare month to month using the same questions, rather than comparing with other businesses.
- Note which tool names you. A business can be named in one tool and absent from another.
- Look at who is named instead. Their profiles, reviews and pages show what the tools are using.
What the check cannot tell you
- It does not show how AI tools rank you or why they chose someone else.
- Answers can vary with location, wording, account settings and time, so a small sample is only a guide.
- Being named does not mean you will receive enquiries, and not being named does not mean you will not.

If you are not named
Start with the basics that search engines and AI tools both read. Make your Google Business Profile complete and verified (see what to do if it is suspended), make your details identical everywhere, and earn genuine reviews. Our guides explain why ranking first on Google does not guarantee a mention and how to appear in ChatGPT and other AI search tools. For how this differs from classic SEO, see SEO vs AI search optimisation.

Frequently asked questions
Does this tool ask ChatGPT for me?
No. It builds the questions and keeps your tally. You paste the questions into each tool yourself and record what you see.
Is my information stored or sent anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored.
How many questions should I test?
Ten to twenty gives a useful pattern. Use the same questions each month.
Why do I get different answers each time?
AI tools can vary their answers between runs and depend on wording, location and settings. That is why a tally across many questions is more useful than one answer.
What counts as named with a link?
Your business is named and the answer includes a clickable link to your website or profile.
